Westernmoor farm was founded in the 1980s when Ian and his brother Haku 's father owned the land. The land was covered in woodlands and they founded out that a magical beast lived in there. The unicorn was spotted by Haku when he was only three years old, unfounatly Haku wasn't the only one that spotted the unicorn, some greedy developers spotted them to and plan to buy the farm. In the early 1990s most of the unicorns were being wipe out and only one a palomino stallion and mare were left. They hid in the woodlands which was far across and deep into the brother's land, where the hunters couldn't get them. The hunters noticed and have also founded out that the farm was losing money and they offered a big sum. Of course they didn't take the offer and after all the stress was created they father died from heart attack. Ian, Haku and they sister Chihiro were struggling to keep the farm going as the bills were getting out of hand. They knew they had to protect the unicorns so they spilt the land up into different type of farms and they sold them off to decent people that would help them protect the animals not to think about the money.
